The Academy Award-winning actor, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, was found dead in his New York apartment earlier today. He was 46 years old. Police officials have not yet released the cause of death and are not currently speculating as to what it may be. Hoffman has starred in a number of highly successful films, including most recently The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He was a Best Actor Oscar in 2005 for his role in Capote, based on the true story of novelist Truman Capote.
He is survived by his partner, costume designer Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children: ten-year-old son Cooper Alexander and two daughters, Tallulah (7) and Willa (5).
