The Screen Actors Guild Awards usually give us our first idea as to what way the Oscars are going to fall, and this afternoon brought the announcement of this year's nominees and there weren't a lot of surprises but it looks like it's going to be a Foxcatcher/Birdman/Imitation Game showdown in most categories.

As expected, Eddie Redmayne also gets recognition for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, as does costar Felicity Jones. Rounding out the Lead Male Actor categories are Steve Carell, Michael Keaton, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jake Gyllenhaal, while Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon take up the rest of the Lead Female Actor spots.

The casts of Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel also got some recognition in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast category, with Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette also getting nods for Boyhood in the Supporting Role categories.

The SAG Awards are set to take place on Sunday January 25th, which will give you plenty of time to get to the bookies ahead of the Oscars on February 22nd.
