Well, it's ABOUT. DAMN. TIME.

Flight of the Conchords, New Zealand's finest export since Lord of the Rings and Sam Neill have finally signed on for a feature-length follow-up to their hit HBO show.

It's not like Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have been resting on their laurels since the show finished up in 2009. Bret McKenzie won himself an Oscar for his work on the Muppets Movie with 'Man Or Muppet' whilst Jermaine Clement has done numerous appearances on hit shows like Rick & Morty and The Simpsons.

Clement and McKenzie, however, are keen to point out that the film is still very much in the early stages. "Who knows if it will ever be made, we’ve written some notes for some different film ideas. We’re not down to the stage where we’re going, 'The film is going to be like this,' it could be this, this, this, this, this."

Meanwhile, Clement is lined up to star in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of the BFG in an unspecified role, however rumours suggest that he'll have a significant role. The role of The BFG itself, however, has gone to Wolf Hall star Mark Rylance.
