We previously reported that a Zoolander sequel is in the works.

Now it looks like it may be happening a lot sooner than we think. Production for the follow-up to 2001's comedy cult hit will begin in the next few months in Italy, with filming taking place in the famous Cinecitta Studios in Rome.

As for casting, none have been officially confirmed, although Will Ferrell is set to reprise his role as Mugatu whilst Owen Wilson is also believed to be locked in to return as Hansel.

Stiller's wife, Christine Taylor, will also reprise her role whilst supermodel Cara Delevigne is also believed to have a role in the film.

Whilst Stiller directed the first film, it's understood that Justin Theroux will be directing the sequel as well as co-writing with Stiller.

No title or release date has been set, although we can take a guess and say it'll be some time in early 2016.
