Rob Zombie has somehow bagged the gig to directing a sequel to his Halloween reboot that caused fanboys and girls all over the world much distress. To say he urinated on the rotting corpse of a classic would be an understatement, and now, Dimension Films are letting him do it again. Zombie’s first film spent large parts of its running time showing Michael Myers as a bullied child, who had issues because his mother used to shake her money-maker for a few clams and his step-daddy continually referred to him as someone of an alternative sexual persuasion. He lashed about by first killing animals, then the local bully, then his mid-ride sister. Talk about overreacting. No word on a plot for the sequel yet, but it’s thought unlikely he’ll do a direct remake of Halloween 2, where Jamie Lee Curtis was stalked around a hospital.
