After the collective aneurism that inflicted the geek community after the news that there would be a Buffy reboot without the involvement of creator Joss Whedon, the producers went and asked the writer/director/producer if he'd like to be involved after all, which he promptly turned down. Whedon told Entertainment Weekly: "I think that's something better left untouched by me. So I wish them luck." It's a classy move from the Dollhouse head-honcho, who says that he's simply too busy to be involved. It's obvious that Whedon just doesn't think it's a good idea, and couldn't be arsed with a consulting credit or whatever, just so the producers could appease the fans. I'll be surprised if this film makes it to production.
