It's Friday AT LAST and here is a round up of all the great movies released this week...

First up we have Silver Linings Playbook. After catching his wife having an affair and beating the man half to death, Pat, played by the lovely Bradley Cooper - a reason in itself to go see this movie - is locked up in an mental institute. Upon his release he returns to his family home where he must take medication and go to therapy, both of which he hates doing. But a chance meeting with Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) who is dealing with the death of her husband by sleeping with everyone who crosses her path could change his life. This is a rom-com with a difference and is definitely worth going to see. You can check out the trailer below and read Rory's review here.

Also out this week is Gambit starring Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman. Scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen Gambit follows an art curator (Firth) who decides to seek revenge on his boss who is constantly humiliating him. Enlisting the help of a Texas trailer trash rodeo queen (Diaz) he sets about trying to con his boss into buying a fake Monet picture to complete his collection. This one doesn't really live up to expectations but if you're looking for a bit of a no brainer, this might be the one for you. You can read our review of it here.

Jake Gyllenhaal returns to our screens this week as policeman Brian who, along with his partner Mike (Michael Pena), patrol one of the toughest districts in LA. End of Watch follows the pair as they get involved with a Mexican cartel after they confiscate money and firearms from one of the members, which lead to lots of car chases, shoot outs and house fires. This is an action packed film and definitely worth a look. You can check out our review here.

With Christmas almost upon us the Christmas films are starting to roll out,  One such movie is Nativity 2 Danger in the Manger, out this week. Directed at kids, the movie centres on Mr Peterson, played by David Tennant, a teacher who takes his schoolchildren to compete in a festive singing competition only for things to go a bit mental. Soon the class are traipsing across the countryside with a donkey they have picked up along the way. You can read our review here. If you fancy something a little different, the IFI are showing a screening of Lawrence of Arabia as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, it was first released in 1962. This classic film follows the real life adventures of T.E. Lawrence, a man who managed to unite several Arab tribes in defiance of the attacking Ottoman Turks in the First World War. You can check out the trailer here.
