The Weinstein Company has acquired the rights to Apollo 18, a NASA 'found footage' thriller according to Empire. Shot in the ever popular 'pseudo documentary' style, the film unearths forgotten footage from Apollo 18's secret trip to the moon and reveals disturbing evidence of other life forms there. The film is set to commence production this December and will have a relatively short turnaround time ahead of a release in March 2011.
