There is a huge compaign currently taking place around Ireland encourgaging people to pay to see movies at the cinema and on DVD and not illegally download the films.

The campaign is called We Make The Movies and you may have noticed some of the posters on bus stops or seen the trailers. The guys at the centre of the campaign are The Industry Trust for Intellectual Property Awareness, which was set up in 2004 to help promote copyright and inform movie and television fans everywhere about the effect illegal download has on the industry. A hefty 500k has been spent on the series of ads.
