We've said many, many times that John Wick: Chapter 2 is probably the best sequel to an action movie ever made.

It's beautifully choreographed, it's so stylish, Keanu Reeves hurls himself across the screen - all of it just adds up to make for a satisfying experience. However, there's a deeper subtext to John Wick which this video from Mr. Nerdista explores.

Believe it or not, John Wick: Chapter 2 is completely influenced by silent cinema stars like Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd and directly references their films in ways we didn't even realise.

Even the poster is cogging off a silent cinema. It's crazy stuff altogether.

Take a look.
