It's kind of heartbreaking to see Philip Seymour Hoffman in this trailer and know that it's one of his last films. The actor, who died suddenly following an overdose earlier this year, completed filming on A Most Wanted Man before he began work on The Hunger Games sequel, Mockingjay. Directed by acclaimed music video director Anton Corbijn and starring House of Cards' Robin Wright, A Most Wanted Man is based on the novel by bestselling author John Le Carre.
Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a jaded British spy who's hunting a band of terrorists across Europe and becomes entangled with the murky world of international finance and politics. It's all heavy stuff and Corbijn's known for making slow-burn thrillers like the criminally-underrated The American with George Clooney.
No word as yet on when it'll be released on this side of the world but we're hoping it gets a wide release. Hoffman's ability oozes out of the screen and it needs to be seen one last time.
