Steve Carell's performance in Foxcatcher was heralded as easily the best of his career at Cannes, with the film's director Bennett Miller picking up the Best Director Award at the festival this passing summer.
By all accounts, this one is a heavy hitter for Oscar season.
Also starring Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum, Carell plays real life eccentric billionaire John du Pont, who was convicted of the murder of wrestling prodigy Dave Schultz (played by Ruffalo) in the 90s. Tatum plays his brother, Mark who trained at du Pont's estate and went on to compete in the early days of the UFC
US release is slated for November, should be on these here shores soon after.
