Now that It is available on home media and the hype has died down somewhat, it only seems fair that it now receive the Honest Trailer treatment and pick apart everything wrong with it.
The main takeaway from this, however, is that if the kids didn't walk slowly towards Pennywise's apparitions, nothing would happen. Yeah, well, that's basically every horror film out there. You literally wouldn't have Halloween or about a dozen other horror / slasher films if they didn't walk slowly towards the bump / noise they heard in the basement.
Get better material and make sharper observations, Honest Trailers. Also, if we're talking new Stephen King remakes, let's finally see The Stand get the adaptation it deserves.
