This whole "there'll be no more trailers" thing that JJ Abrams was going on about really didn't pan out, did it?

Not that we're pushed, in fairness, but dropping international trailers and now TV spots online when he said there wouldn't be. Why do it, man? Why do it?

Anyway, the first TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has gone online and shows even more footage from the eagerly anticipated film.

Take a look.

We're taking an educated guess here and saying that's Lupita Nyong'o with that brilliant bit of dialogue. She plays CGI character Maz Kanata, a pirate chieftain who's a fairly big part of the story. We haven't actually seen any footage or imagery relating to her yet, but we do know that she's a central character in the whole.

Also, check out that little glimpse of Kylo Ren going full-tilt at Rey. That's damn scary. Also, Harrison Ford appears to be rocking an Arctic look as well.

Thirty-eight days. We can do this, people.
