And what we mean by that is that it is just as NSFW as we could hope for.

Starring Ryan Reynolds in the title role as well as Homeland's Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool looks like the grownup comic book movie fans have been waiting for. And thanks to their persistence in demanding that a Deadpool movie actually happen it looks like we're in for a serious treat.

Here's how 20th Century Fox are billing it:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

What does that mean for us? Well thanks to the fact that both Marvel and the filmmakers have committed to making the movie 'R'-rated in the States (which translates to either a 16 or 18 rating here), we're in for a much bloodier, swearier and more realistic superhero movie. It's basically going to make The Avengers look like Barney & Friends.

Deadpool is currently scheduled for release in Irish cinemas on February 5th 2016.
