If you've never watched Super Troopers, you truly are missing out on one of the funniest films of the '00s that went largely unnoticed on this side of the Atlantic.

The first film, released in 2001, became a cult hit and after seventeen years, it's now finally getting a sequel - which, it must be pointed out, raised almost all of its production budget from Indiegogo. Yes, really. The cast of the original are back, including the entire Broken Lizard Crew, Brian Cox (yes, Scottish thespian Brian Cox), Lynda Carter (GET US OUT FROM UNDAH WONDAH WOMAN), and Rob Lowe as a mayor of a Canadian town that's now become part of the US after a redrawing of state and federal borders.

As well as this, you've also got comedians Jim Gaffigan and Dirk Gently's Tyler Labine in there as Mounties - so expect plenty of very, very obvious Canadian stereotyping. The film is scheduled for April 20th in the US - which coincidentally is 4 / 20 - so who's to say if it'll get the same release date here.
