Ryan Gosling took time out from being a charismatic movie star and internet meme recently to make his directorial debut on the flick, Lost River.
The film stars our very own Saoirse Ronan along with Eva Mendes, Christina Hendricks and Matt Smith and centres on a teen and his single mother in a new, seemingly very weird, town.
It looks a bit mental - very David Lynch in style, with some nice visuals.
It will have an American release this Autumn but is premiering at Cannes today, so we should hear word as to its quality soon from movie scribes
