The brand new state-of-the-art cinema opens tomorrow, and Project Director of the Arc Cinema Brian Gilligan is more than proud of the new development and it's luxury facilities. 'Movie lovers in Drogheda have been underserved to date and we feel there is a real opportunity to grow the market in this region by providing a really high quality customer experience' he explained. 'The new Arc Cinema represents an investment of €6m by our company. Over 50% of that budget has been spent on the luxury fit out.'
What will such luxury entail? Well patrons will enjoy one of 750 Artic leather seats across the 6 screens, which are all fitted with digital projectors, incredible Dolby 7.1 surround sound, with 3D in half of them. As well as that, visitors will get all the major releases from the major distributors including Disney, Fox, Paramount, Sony, Universal and Warner Brothers as well as unique experiences thanks to the Arc Cinema being an independently owned and managed cinema, with Gilligan promising they will be 'responsive to the interests of niche cinema goers.'
