Last night saw Moonlight make a clean sweep at the Independent Spirit Awards, taking home six awards - including Best Picture.

However, much of the talk from the night was about Nick Kroll and John Mulaney's opening monologue, which pretty much skewered everyone and everything in the room - including the fact that you probably haven't seen half the films that were nominated and most of them were depressing as f***. Kroll, who starred in Jeff Nichols' Loving, was joined by fellow comedian John Mulaney - who "self-taped an audition for Sully."

Targets in the monologue included Shia LaBeouf, Mel Gibson, Moonlight, Casey Affleck (and Ben Affleck) and the fact that everyone in the tent is a liberal.

Take a look.
