Check out the latest trailer for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom starring Idris Elba as Nelson Mandela. The movie will tell the story of Mandela’s life charting back to his earlier years in a rural South African village, through his years imprisonment and right up to his election as the country's president. Given the long time span of the movie, Elba will be aged throughout and you can see the full effect in the new trailer.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, directed by Justin Chadwick will also star Naomie Harris, Terry Pheto and Jamie Bartlett, and will open in UK cinemas on 3 January 2014.
