We’re getting not one but two Dwayne Johnson headliners this year – first there was monster movie Rampage and coming this July is Skyscraper.

Co-starring Neve Campbell of Scream fame, the film sees Johnson play a security assessor for skyscrapers – who happens to be an FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran. While on an assignment in Hong Kong, the world's tallest, safest building suddenly goes up in flames, and he gets framed for it. Now he must clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building.

It’s all very dramatic.

The film is written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who previously brought us Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and directed Johnson in Central Intelligence.

We think it has just a teeny tiny vibe of Die Hard – and we’re not the only ones who think so – but hopefully it’ll be a bit of craic.
