It's not quite 'Luke, I am your father' but it's pretty close.
We always knew that the sequel to 'Guardians of the Galaxy' was going to address Peter Quill's parentage but we thought that James Gunn might tease it out a bit more than this.
The latest trailer for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' brings more ridiculous space hijinks from everyone's favourite ragtag galaxy savers and while it's still a bit light on who or what the actual threat to the galaxy is this time (gold aliens who don't like emotions, apparently?) we now know that Kurt Russell is going to have a significant part to play in it all as the father to Chris Pratt's Star-Lord.
How all that plays into the ongoing battle for the safety of the universe and the upcoming 'Avengers: Infinity War' films remains to be seen.
'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is set for release on April 28th.
