Although the role has been cast and, of course, given to Alden Ehrenreich, it was reported that well over 3,000 people auditioned for the role of Han Solo.

After all, Captain Solo is one of the most well-known characters in film history and playing a younger version of that is going to require a lot of thought put into the casting. How can you honestly replace or recast Harrison Ford? He basically was Han Solo.

Conan O'Brien, it seems, managed to get his hands on some of these audition tapes and while we knew our own Jack Reynor auditioned for the role, there also appears to be a few other familiar faces in the audition list.

Take a look.

Listen, if we were in the casting session for this, we'd have given it Jeff Goldblum. Jeff Goldblum could play a young Han Solo no problem. He could even play Chewbacca. Jeff Goldblum could even play Jabba The Hutt, Bib Fortuna, Captain Piett, Admiral Thrawn and NIen Nunb.

Jeff Goldblum could even be the voice of Darth Vader, if James Earl Jones decided not to bother anymore. Jeff Goldblum can do anything because he's The Greatest Living Actor Alive and we will fight you with our bare hands if you say otherwise.

Also, was Bill Hader actually doing those sound effects? Because if he wasn't, that's pretty impressive.
