Does this mean that Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann will finally reunite?
Disney have dropped a major teaser in the Japanese trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge – the fifth instalment in the POTC franchise.
We already know that Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom, who we haven’t seen since the third POTC film, At World’s End, will return in the new film while the character’s son Henry (played by Brenton Thwaites), whose mother is Elizabeth, also has a key role.
There may just be a family reunion in store now as it appears that Keira Knightley will also appear in the film, although the clip of her is so brief that it is unclear whether she will just appear in flashback or have a more prominent role in the movie.
In At World’s End, Turner took over the Flying Dutchman, a ship bound to escort souls lost at sea to the next world. Until he is replaced, he can only come on land once every ten years. Elizabeth married Will and vows to wait for him.
