If you loved Jacob Tremblay because of how adorable he was in 'Room', then be prepared to lose all of that good will towards him in 'Before I Wake'.

In this supernatural horror also starring Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane, Tremblay plays a newly-adopted kid to the recently bereaved Bosworth and Jane who comes with the ability to literally make his dreams come to life. Now that would all be well and good if it weren't for the fact that his nightmares come along for the ride too, and lo, everything gets a bit 'Nightmare On Elm Street'/Stranger Things' pretty fast.

Here's the official synopsis:

In this intense and heart pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody’s imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody’s nightmares.

'Before I Wake' is set for release in Irish cinemas on September 9th.
