Thanks to the success of The Hunger Games, movies based on books starring young-adults fighting their way through dystopian futures have become the new vampires/werewolfs. Thankfully though these adaptations feature less sparkle vamps and moping and more grit and decent acting.

Step forward BAFTA Rising Star award winner Will Poulter, Skins and Wuthering Heights starlet Kaya Scodelario and Teen Wolf-er Dylan O’Brien for the latest book-turned-blockbuster, The Maze Runner.

Based on a novel of the same name, The Maze Runner stars Thomas (O'Brien), who wakes up in a strange maze trapped with other boys who all found themselves inside the labyrnith, known as the Glade, with no memory of their lives before they got there. And then things get weirder when the first girl (Scodelario) arrives claiming that she's 'the last one' and, from what we can tell, all hell breaks loose.

Originally set for a release early this year, The Maze Runner is now expected in cinemas this September. Consider us excited.
