We've gotta hand it to Foil, Arms & Hog - they really did nail this one.

Their latest sketch, A Very Irish Film, brilliantly skewers the likes of The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Michael Collins and basically any Irish film from the last twenty years or so.

And let's face it, there's a checklist these films have to reach. Protestant / Catholic divide? Check. Dirty English feckers? Check. Doomed love story involving drink? Check. Catholic Church domination? Check.

At this stage, we should just send this clip to the Oscars instead of forcing Brendan Gleeson to make the journey over.
