All it's missing is a twirly moustache.

BB-8 became an instant favourite among Star Wars fans after his appearance in 'The Force Awakens' and seeing as he was instantly cast in the hero camp, it was inevitable that he receive an arch-nemesis to combat as the franchise continues.

So say hello to BB-9E, the First Order "rolling menace" that we will no doubt fall in love/hate with once 'The Last Jedi' premieres this December.

Disney and toy maker Sphero introduced the world to BB-9E today as part of Force Friday II (it's already Friday in Australia, if you're confused), a day when shops open up with all the merchandise from the upcoming film for fans to get their grubby paws on, three-and-a-half months before 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' even opens in cinemas.

'The Last Jedi' director Rian Johnson has been contributing to the buzz on Twitter, where fans are already hyped about the new droid.

What do you think of BB-9E? Adorably troublesome or straight up evil? We only have to wait until December 15th to find out. That's only 106 days (but who's counting).
