Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis play a pair of recovering sex addicts who are definitely just going to be friends and won't sleep with each other at all in the latest rom-com to try and put a twist on the increasingly stale format.

Neither of the characters can hold down a relationship thanks to their addiction, and so when they come across each other at a sex addicts support group meeting, they decide to be friends and resist their throbbing biological urges.

With two likable leads and a cast of supporting funny people (like Natasha Lyonne), there could be some promise here, but it's not about to get us to ask serious questions about the state of monogamy in our current society or ask if it's really working anymore, because something tells us that they might just settle down and find that the person they were looking for was right in front of them all along...

Us, cynical? Nah.

Leslye Headland is in the director's chair for this one, which is due for release in September.
