I've no bones about the fact that Warrior was my favourite movie of 2011, and I'm glad to see audiences are now finding it on DVD. Now, that films writer and director, Gavin O'Conner, has signed on for something very different.

According to Heat Vision, O'Conner, who also directed the ace Colin Farrell/Ed Norton police drama, Pride and Glory, will helm Neverland, which is set to be produced by Channing Tatum. It's described as an origin story for Peter Pan, which is certainly a new kind of production for the ace director. Hunger Games scribe Billy Ray wrote the script.

O'Conner's biggest hit is the ice-hockey flick, Miracle.
