Nigel Davenport, the veteran British actor has died. He passed away on Friday, October 25 due to unknown causes.
He is best known for his role in the 1981 film Chariots of Fire but had a long and respected career as both a film and television actor. He appeared in movies Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan and The Island of Dr. Moreau and in cult television series The Saint.
He was father to actor Jack Davenport, best known for his role as Commodore James Norrington in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
