Universal Pictures have confirmed that this years movies Ted and the Bourne movies are to receive sequels.

Speaking at a conference in LA Universal CEO Steve Burke said that the company were keen to increase there franchise films and animations film by two a year. In particular the company are keen to start work on a sequel to the summer smash Ted directed by Seth Mcfarlane 'as soon as we can'.

The Bourne Legacy follow up is already on the cards with producer Frank Marshall keen to have a sequel which would feature both Matt Damon and Renner. Bourne Legacy is the fourth instalment in the Bourne series which starred Jeremy Renner playing an agent who is brought into a programme similar to Jason Bourne (Damon).

Burke also spoke of the companies goal to release two animations a year after the success of Despicable Me which has a spin off and a sequel in development.
