Tom Cruise has apparently binned the (now Angelina Jolie starrer) Edwin Salt for a role in a film called The Tourist. The iconic yelper will play a, yep, you guessed it, tourist in Europe who is used and abused by a female Interpol agent. Now, that’s quite a broad description, but frankly if you’re going to be abused by anyone it might as well be a female Interpol agent. Director Bharat Nalluri, who has worked extensively on British television with the likes of Hustle and Life on Mars, will helm the project. Cruises latest film Valkyrie has changed release dates again - despite a very positive reaction from preview audiences in America. The actor next makes a cameo in the Ben Stiller directed comedy Tropic Thunder, which is out this weekend across the pond and on September 19th here.
