The creator of The Shield, Shawn Ryan has signed on to write the new big screen Jack Ryan film.
According to Vulture, Lost producer and frequent helmer, Jack Bender would be calling the shots on the film with Paramount regulars, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Transformers) producing the film.
Ryan is currently overseeing the well-received new show, Terriers. I've never seen The Shield but only hear good things. A box set must happen soon...
