Fresh outta Limerick citaaay, The Rubberbandits will be making their way up to the capital for JDIFF this week. Our favourite plastic bagged boyos are getting down to some serious business mind you. They'll be leaving the horse outside and sharing their wisdom on The Economics of Youtube at Filmbase on February 21st.

A specialist Screen Test panel for the 2013 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, the economics of youtube will feature The Rubberbandits and David Mcwilliams discussing virality, going from the web to channel four and the economic significance of Willy O'Dea. Bringing together the authors of The Pope's Children and of Glue might seem an odd mix, but with online marketing becoming ever more prominent and Horse Outside going viral from Cairns to Queens it seems fitting that the man who first warned us about the bubble bursting can help us appreciate the significance of Blindboy Boatclub and Mr.Chrome.

Presented in association with the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Screen Test is the training wing of The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and is aimed at anyone who wants to work in broadcasting; be it in radio, television or indeed film.
