More Jay moments of wisdom will make their way onto the screen next summer with the news that Inbetweeners 2 is definitely scheduled for August 2014 release. That means one thing; get your co-ordinated, offensive partay t-shirts ready for wear.

Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley made a joint announcement about the sequel recently, stating 'We couldn't be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake [...] Frankly it's pathetic how much we've all missed each other. A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie'.

With Film4 and Channel 4 co-financing the movie, and Bwark Productions producing, the four friends will reunite on the big screen for another hilarious tale about binge drinking (followed by the oliigatory sick), buddy-shaming, muff-diving, but most of all, friendship. The first installment of Inbetweeners on the big screen grossed more than £41 million at the UK box office in summer 2011, so why wouldn't they make a second? There's nothing more a young audience thrives on than a group of misfits trying to get through life with excessive hair gel and a little bit of swag.

Catch up here with some shenanigans from the first film.
