Sony's controversial comedy, The Interview, has broken their online sales record having made over $15million since becoming available on Tuesday.

The film was rented or purchased over two million times, making it the company's most successful online film ever, on as well as earning $3million in theatres. 

The film has been available through iTunes, YouTube, and Google Play, with Netflix supposedly in talks to securing the rights as well. Despite not being available on the popular streaming service, the film has already outsold Video-on-Demand hits like Snowpiercer ($7 million), Arbitrage ($14 million) and Bachelorette ($8.2 million).
