Will Smith is set to star in The Last Pharaoh, the story of Taharqa who faced off against Assyrian invaders in ancient Egypt. This is something of a pet project for the Fresh Prince, who has long wanted to play the Pharaoh and will focus the lens on Taharqa's battles with Assyrian leader Esarhaddon in 677 BC. The script is being penned by Randall Wallace, who has plenty of experience within the historical epic genre having previously written the screenplay for Braveheart. No word yet on Jazzy Jeff's possible involvement.
