The Farrelly Brothers were brilliant once; Dumb and Dumber is still a comedy classic, and Kingpin has been known to crack us up even after multiple viewings. But they've lost their way recently, with The Heartbreak Kid being about as funny as a hair in an eagerly anticipated curry.  Well, they've announced that their long developed project The Three Stooges is to go ahead with MGM pulling up the clams. The film will be budgeted at $45 million, and they'll  also write the script: "It’s not a biopic. It takes place in present day, and they look, dress and sound exactly like the Stooges," Peter Farrelly told Daily Variety. "When the economy started turning, we felt like the world could use a Stooges slapfest. Bobby and I haven’t done a real physical comedy in a while, and it’s the most exciting thing we could think of now, to have people go to the movie, see some great slapstick fun family humour." Let's hope the guys get back on form with this one.
