This one is shaping up nicely.
Robert Downey Jr. will be glad to hear that he’s getting a very talented supporting cast for the Stephen Gaghan directed sequel.
It’s been announced that Emma Thompson, Ralph Fiennes and Spider-Man himself Tom Holland will be on set for The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. No specific details have been revealed so far but it’s thought the trio will voice animal characters.
Deadline are also reporting that Antonio Banderas will play the role of a pirate called Rassouli with Martin Sheen playing Mudfly.
The remake will create a whole new cinematic universe adapted from the children’s book by Hugh Lofting. Eddie Murphy played the animal-loving eccentric in the hugely successful ‘90’s film.
With a cast like this The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle might just live up to that.
