Since Jessica Biel won't be returning for the next remake after describing her time on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) as one of the most difficult experiences of her life, Lionsgate were hard pushed to find a suitable female replacement. But now it seems they have. According to Collider online, Alexandra Daddario (bit of a hottie) who you'll recognise from Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is in final talks to nab the female lead in John Luessenhop’s (Takers) take on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to be relased in 3D. Daddario also recently worked with Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis in the Farrelly Bros. comedy Hall Pass and had a role in the American series White Collar. Now she will add the horror genre to her resumé. Beginning later this month in Louisiana, as per Variety, this will be the second remake of director/co-writer Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D was written by Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan and is expected to hit the big screen on October 5th, 2012 just in time to have you suitably spooked for Halloween.
