Michael Nyqvist, best known to audiences for his appearances in John Wick, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the original version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has died.

In a statement released to media by Nyqvist's family, it confirmed that the actor had passed following a long battle with lung cancer. "Michael's joy and passion were infectious to those who knew and loved him. His charm and charisma were undeniable, and his love for the arts was felt by all who had the pleasure of working with him," the statement read.
