The cast of Steven Spielberg's Lincoln biopic already has one of the finest actors of his generation, Daniel Day Lewis, in the titular role and has added a barrage more showy names.

According to The Wrap, the ridiculously underrated David Strathairn will join Day Lewis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Bruce McGill, Tim Blake Nelson and Hal Holbrook in the highly anticipated biopic. Spielberg has two films in production at the moment as director; Oscar bait War Horse and the motion capture Tin Tin movie he's producing and co-hleming with Peter Jackson.

Liam Neeson was originally scheduled to play Lincoln, so it's somewhat apt that we had an honorary Irishman take the role instead. The film will be out in late 2012.
