The hilarious, but often criminally misdirected on celluloid, Steve Carrell, has signed up for another whacky comedy, The Adventures of Brigadier Gerard. According to Variety it is set during the Napoleonic Wars, and Carrell will play the titular role "the bravest soldier in Napoleon’s army and also the dumbest. Gerard follows Napoleon from his rise to power to his permanent exile". No director has been set to helm yet, but Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge is producing the project. I've been a fan of Carrell's since he was a correspondent on The Daily Show, but with the exception of two or three films, he's made some bad choices while on hiatus from The Office. Let's hope this isn't one of them.
