Star Trek screenwriter Robert Orci has been speaking to Collider.com about a sequel to the hit reboot.

The man who also co-penned The Transformers series said, "Just been waiting for JJ (Abrams) to be free to really decide if he likes the story and hear his suggestions before we finish the script. Once he says go, we’ll have it in no time. Meanwhile, our outline is detailed enough (70+ pages!) to do some prep." Arbams is currently in the middle of a media blitz for his new film, Super 8, and will reportedly concentrate on a Star Trek sequel, be it as a producer or director, when all is said and done with that film.

Liked Star Trek a lot, and generally dig Abrams style as a director. He's slick, but thus far his work, even with two blockbusters, hasn't been brainless.
