When the news broke that we were getting a Jumanji remake that we didn't ask for, we have to admit that we really didn't see them going in this direction with it.

The Rock and Kevin Hart are in talks to star in Sony's planned remake to be directed by Jake Kasdan. The pair's latest comedy Central Intelligence is due for release in July and after their successful stint co-hosting the MTV Movie Awards last week it seems that they are keen to keep the on screen bromance going.

This is a surprising move considering the pair's packed schedules. The Rock is currently filming Baywatch and has got the latest installment of the Fast franchise still to come after that. Hart meanwhile has some voice work lined up in the Captain Underpants movie and is also slated to appear alongside Bryan Cranston in the remake of the French film The Intouchables.

Those who are against the idea of a Jumanji remake in general are unlikely to be thrilled with this news but it's nice to see that producers are planning a fresh twist on things rather than just a lazy rehash of the Robin Williams' classic.
