Bryan Singer has revealed at the premiere of Avatar that he'll be doing another X-Men movie, after a Jack and the Beanstalk project he's also working on.

Singer last directed, easily the best film in the franchise, X-Men 2, but bolted from X-Men: The Last Stand when a chance came up to helm a Superman film. That film, as great as I thought it was, didn't lead to a franchise and Singer then took his time before helming Valkyrie with Tom Cruise last year - another good sized hit.

Brett Ratner finally came on board to helm The Last Stand, after (the infinitely more talented) Matthew Vaughn left the project because of family issues. The resulting film was a box-office hit, but still shite. X-Men: First Class is expected to go into production in the next 12 months.
