Sienna Miller is coming to Ireland. The English actress and model will star in a new Jane Austen film, it has been revealed.

The news was tweeted yesterday by The Irish Film Board, outlining that shooting will start on the period comedy this summer.

Whit Stillman (Metropolitan, Barcelona) will direct what he describes as Austen's 'most sparkling comedy', 'Love & Friendship'. Miller, nominated for best actress for her role in The Girl at The Golden Globes and the BAFTAs in 2012, will take the lead with Chloe Sevigny (Zodiac) co-starring as Miller's character's close friend.

The movie, supported by The Irish Film Board, will be produced by Katie Holly of Dublin's Blinder Films and Whit Stillman's Westerly Films. Commenting on the release of the news, Katie Holly tweeted; 'So thrilled to be able to finally announce this! Excited beyond all measure...'

All very exciting, then, from an Irish point of view. Hopefully, the rain stays off for them when it begins filming this summer.
