It looks like Shia LaBeouf has finally gotten himself a meter on which to rate movie roles by, after the drivel that was Eagle Eye. The actor had been attached for some time to the role as the last man on earth in the film Y: The Last Man, which was due to be directed by his Eagle Eye helmer DJ Caruso. He spewed: "You take Sam (from Transformers) and you put a monkey on his shoulder. I don't know if it's that big a differential. It seems like he's the ordinary guy in an extraordinary situation again." Well that pretty much goes for the vast majority of guys that look like LaBeouf in any action film - and it's hardly anymore farfetched than him nailing Megan Fox. He then added: "I'm not willing to make that movie currently, and may be too old to play the role by the time it does come around." The graphic novel the film is based on is regarded as a classic, so expect this film to get made at some point regardless.
