Shawshank Redemption director and the man who ran The Walking Dead for several seasons, Frank Darabont will direct an apparently Kristen Stewart free sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman.

Darabont reportedly pitched a version to Universal Studios that centres far more on Chris Hemmsworth's character, The Huntsman, and either doesn't feature Stewart at all, or in a vastly reduced part. Being that it would be twisted that Stewart was snubbed no matter what, we can't see her taking a smaller part - which means no 'Snow White' in the title one would assume.

The first film was a surprise hit, but more media focus after seemed to fall on Stewart and her relationship with the film's director, Rupert Sanders - who has moved on to other projects.

Darabont is a great choice, regardless and it'll be interesting to see what he does with a blockbuster budget.
